Company Overview

Vick Agricare Ltd. was established on 24th November 2014 by Dr. George Muhia Kariuki as an agribusiness company. It provides agricultural extension services to farmers, and is accredited by the Kenya Pest Control Product Board (PCPB) to conduct efficacy trials on fungicides, insecticides, herbicides and nematicides on vegetables and flowers. Additionally, Vick Agricare is approved by the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) to carry out efficacy trials on bio-fertilizers.

Health and Safety Measures

The team takes several health and safety measures into account when conducting the trials to ensure that no harm comes to the individuals supporting the trial and the environment. These include wearing the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks and gumboots, using the correct chemicals in the correct proportions, and properly storing and disposing unused chemicals.
